A handmade washcloth
Lucille and her team made this flannel to be as practical as possible.
With its large format, it works for small as well as big hands and can be used by the whole family.
Our seamstresses cut, assemble, and sew around one hundred flannels each day in our textile workshop.
In their workshop, they assemble and check the quality of each washcloth with the upmost care to offer you an ethical and responsible handmade accessory.
A GOTS-certified cotton
Our washcloth is made with organic cotton. It is pleasant to use and is family-friendly thanks to its softness and thickness of 450g/m².
Our ply terry cotton is very absorbent. Its cotton threads cross to form nice and supple loops which dry quickly and don’t get damaged, even after many washes and some tumble drying.
A true alternative to conventional cotton as well as fabric made from plastic or animal matter, our organic cotton comes from genuine cotton plant seeds.
It is certified by the GOTS certificate in order to ensure impeccable quality, respecting both social and environmental regulations. It’s a guarantee of quality and trust for you as for us.
How to use our washcloth?
This might seem silly, but a washcloth can’t be used carelessly.
Just as you probably already do, take the flannel and rub it on our olive oil soap. Then, gently clean your body with it.
Here are a few additional tips:
- Leave it to dry after using it.
- If possible, use two flannels: one for the face and another one for the body.
- Clean your flannel once it becomes rigid and crisp.
- Don’t share your flannel with anyone else.
- Clean yourself from top to bottom. First your face and then move down your body if you're using only one washcloth.
- After each use, thoroughly rinse under clear water.
A sustainable and eco-friendly washcloth
This washcloth will last in time and resist many washes. You will enjoy using a flannel without irritating your skin. You will obtain a fine and pleasant foam when using it along with our olive oil soap.
It doesn’t contain any solvents, dyes, micro-plastic, or pesticides which can end up in the oceans as soon as the first wash cycle. It has been made to respect your skin as well as the environment.
Our washcloth is GOTS-certified.
This certificate ensures that decent working conditions are respected but also that no heavy metals or dangerous products are used.

How to keep your flannel in good condition?
To keep it nice, we advise you to leave it to dry between two uses (by hanging it with its loop).
To keep it in good condition for as long as possible, we recommend washing in a 40°C wash maximum.
You can wash your flannel in a washing net to avoid damaging the ply terry cotton. It may shrink by 10% during the first wash, even with cold water.
To dry it, it’s best to leave it to air-dry, but you can use the tumble-dryer once in a while.
Last but not least, don’t iron your washcloth, cotton doesn’t need it. You could even damage it.
